We are Advanced Football Coaching and we are a football academy in the local area. Originally All Star Soccer WSX which was formed by Jamie Howell and Adam Hinshelwood who simply believed that there should be more players from our local area playing at a higher standard of football either in the professional game or at a higher level in non league. Ten years on we now see many players playing in full time professional football or in first teams at non league level.

AFC are looking at developing players whose current managers, coaches, or parents who feel their children have the ability and dedication to play and develop at a higher level and would benefit from specialist coaching.

Why AFC ?

Quite Simply, ‘we have been there and done it’ There are many great coaches in the area that do great work but where we are different is Advanced Football Coaching can do this by offering their extensive coaching and playing experience to children;  Jamie’s experience in have both played in the professional game, Captained England youth team at U18 and managed in the Conference South, Coached in Academies at Brighton and Hove Albion FC  and worked at Chelsea FC Foundation, gaining the prestigious ‘A’ license award over ten years ago shows he has experience of all levels of football.

This makes them ideal candidates to develop local children and advise parents and players first hand what is required and expected at professional football clubs if that is their ambition.

The concept of Advanced Football Coaching is to deliver coaching sessions that players would receive at professional clubs locally,  we offer sessions for players of all abilities and the benefit for the players and the local clubs is that the players would still play for their local teams at the weekend, Advanced Football Coaching do play representative games against professional clubs during holidays thus giving exposure to players from our area without conflicting with the hard work that the local teams have put into developing players.

We run our development squad for players of all abilities which is open to any boys and girls, we then offer an elite session for players who are more advanced in their development.  The first sessions for new players is free of charge so you can see if you and your children enjoy it before committing.
